Vitalik Buterin Considers Home Staking Friendly to Guarantee Ethereum Decentralization
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin weighed on the threats to network decentralization amid concerns that it is becoming a data centre chain. Buterin disclosed that a series of polls support the need to lower the 32 ETH requirement to make home staking friendly.

The Ethereum co-founder considers the solution to be home-staking friendly despite the vigorous opposition from the Ambient Finance founder.
Buterin acknowledges that home staking poses huge challenges for Ethereum, with a user mandated to raise $111,000 worth of 32 ETH per current price to establish the validator node.
Buterin indicated that the polls he made are indicating the pathway to home-staying friendly is reduced ETH requirement. He notes that the sentiment is backed by consistent community feedback highlighting the need to eliminate financial barriers to make Ethereum staking accessible.

Colkitt backs the approach as viable since it guarantees efficient and effective allocation of network resources. In particular, the process will avert squandering resources on unproven and overly complex schemes.
Buterin cited that addressing the Ethereum network challenges is possible by deploying innovative solutions such as the Solo Staking Friendly (SSF) and Orbit validator management.
The SSF and Orbit have unique designs that are responsible for facilitating the accessibility and efficiency of solo staking. Their design seeks to reduce technical and financial barriers encountered by the individual stakers.
Buterin considers that the Orbit and SSF solutions will simplify the staking process. Doing so makes it more feasible to encourage the minor participants to contribute towards the network’s security.
Buterin considers that the Ethereum network should, in the long term, consider hyper-aggregation. He considers the concept as the process to aggregate huge signatures, potentially reaching 1 million in a dozen-second slot.
